Bronx, NewYork – With the women’s ministry clad in their traditional red and white as Praises and worship filled the sanctuary of Berean Prayer Center on Saturday October 18th 2014 afternoon as about 150 members and guests helped the church dedicate its new sanctuary located at 1661 Boone Avenue in the Bronx, New York.
The Rev. Eli Nutifafa of Global Winners Tabernacle gave a very powerful sermon and later the led the fundraising.
Rev. Dr. Kissi Peprah conducted the dedication in the presence of several ministers, friends and family and other invited guest.
At their old place of worship, they went through unbearable wilderness experience; drenched in water, soaked chairs and carpets that caused bad odor, but they kept the faith to go on.
“Their search began this spring for a new place of worship. In May, the search landed them in a 10,000 square foot premises, however they lost it due to its lack of sprinkler system. As they were not deterred, but believing in God. “This was not the place He had shown me in the vision: there was no river nearby, no field of greens. ” said Rev. Osei Karikari Manu.
“Twenty months ago, the Lord revealed to me in a vision the place He would lead us to: a building close to a river and flourishing green plants and flowers. He said to me; “the plants flourish because of constant water supply, so will your ministry be because of my constant supply of anointing”.
“But the Lord had spoken, and He would not fail. Over the past three and half months since we acquired this building, the Lord has set before us an open door of favor: an organ donated by the understanding landlord, investors who seek to tap into the vision, an increase in favor and so much more. The result of His faithfulness is what you have witnessed today.” said Rev. Osei Karikari Manu; Head Pastor of Berean Prayer Center.
Though we are home, our work is not yet done. The Lord brought us into this community for a purpose. He has placed on our hearts the desire to start a daycare, an afterschool program and a community kitchen to help enrich the community and win souls.
We believe those who will financially support the vision will reap the associated favor.
Berean Prayer Center now has more room for Sunday school, administrative offices, fellowship and services for the community. A big hall for rental to the community for events.
“We’re a very friendly congregation,” said Pastor Emmanuel Mensah Associate Pastor
Sunday services at Berean Prayer Center are at 10:00 a.m. – 1:00pm. Friday Deliverance Service is: 9:00 pm – midnight.
