Bronx, New York – A week-long, power-packed prophetic encounter dubbed, “Fire Convention” organized by the Bible Believers Tabernacle, otherwise known as the BBT, has ended at the church’s auditorium at 1877 Bathgate Avenue in the Bronx, New York. The program, under the theme, “My Star Will Appear Again” turned out to be a time of miracles and deliverance under the anointed ministration of the guest speaker, Prophet Patrick Adusei based in Ghana. Astonished attendees intermittently burst into a frenzy as miraculous revelations were made about them and their families by the prophet, and demons were cast out of people.
The convention got underway each day with praises and worship as well as prayers to set the atmosphere right for the prophet to minister. Throughout the duration of the program he preached from Genesis Chapter 49 on the last words that the patriarch Jacob said to his children, with emphasis on Issachar, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Judah, Joseph, and Zebulun.
By way of introduction the man of God used the first day of the convention to talk about the importance of an altar. Quoting from Genesis 8: 22, he used Noah as an example of someone who understood the need for an altar. He said just as the altar intervened on behalf of Noah, it would speak for anyone who would recognize the necessity to build one from where to commune with God. According to Prophet Adusei such an altar represents the gateway to the throne of God and therefore it was advisable for Christians to establish an altar covenant with the Lord. “Whenever there is an altar, there is worship and sacrifice and more so, altars bring the presence of God into manifestation,” the man of God said.
From the second day Prophet Adusei began serializing his exposition on Jacob’s words to his children. He pointed out that the patriarch blessed some of his children, cursed some and foretold the future of others, depending on their character and deeds. He began with the ninth son, Issachar whose account is found in Genesis 49:15 as follows: “Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens: And he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant; and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.” According to the prophet, Jacob’s words to Issachar meant that he would be strong and robust but before he could enjoy the good of the land, he had to learn to serve and bear burdens. Likewise he spoke about Dan, Naphtali and the other sons of Jacob who were blessed and urged Christians everywhere to always strive to please God so that like the blessed lot among Jacob’s sons, they, too, would attract the blessing and favor of God.
Each time a sermon was over it was time for prophecy and expectations began to rise. With worship songs at the background Prophet Adusei randomly prophesied to certain people in the congregation. He told them not to praise him, but urged the people to give God the glory for the revelations.
On the whole, the week-long program gave the attendees hope that all was not lost after all, despite whatever challenges they were facing. It gave them hope that if God, through the prophet, would reveal so many hidden things to them, then they should be confident the Lord will redeem them from any bondage no matter how crippling it might be.
