Liberia: Philadelphia Church Pastor Observes 25 Years Service Sun

The Inquirer – Monrovia, The Senior Pastor of Philadelphia Church, Bishop George B. Harris will be honored on Sunday, November 17, 2013 by the members and the clergy of the Church.

According to Bishop Harris yesterday, the honor he believes belongs to God Almighty who has kept him focused all those years of Godly service and years of trials and tribulations which had strengthened him to continue serving the Lord.

The Philadelphia Church Bishop who is also a 2012 recipient of an honorary Doctorate Degree from Cyprus Bible Institute in the United States of America recounted his many years on the pulpit, preaching and teaching the Word of God to hundreds of believers, some of whom are renowned men and women of God today.

According to him, God has a destiny for everyone who believes in him. Rev. Dr. Harris used the occasion to bless God for his wife who he said has been a very good help mate to him throughout those years of Christian Ministries.

Bishop Harris, speaking further stated that his key message on Sunday will focus on Psalms 33: 12 which states that “Blessed is the nation whose God is their Lord” and according to him, if people trust in God and consider God to be Lord, then they stand a good chance.

He said he has written two books; one in 2007, Christian Ministry and another in 2013 Building Block for Successful Marriage which he said has been a help to many who have read the books.

Bishop Harris who is married with four children is encouraging the Christian Community and Liberians in general to hold on to God as helper and source of their lives for better future.
