By Pastor O.B.Stephen – Life is complicated and we must carefully live our life to make sure we fulfill our destinies and not get messed up in it. In my subsequent columns, I will communicate to you the Divine path to success and greatness. It is the desire of God that you succeed and become great. He created everything you need to succeed before He finally put you here on earth. Take a look at what the Bible has to say on God and our success.

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all[a] the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Gen 1:26-31

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psa 1:3

If they obey and serve him (God), they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. Job_36:11

Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. Psa_35:27

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jer 29:11

The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. Hag 2:8

God is the source of success and His plans to help us succeed are awesome, but the question is why do some people walk in failure all their life and others who taste success return to failure? The answer is that, many of us, irrespective of the opportunity God presents to us, set ourselves up for failure through our own attitudes. We consciously or unconsciously entangle ourselves with things that drag us into failure. Upon critical assessment with some people who fell from grace to grass, we found out that most of the Successful persons who failed along the way sows the seed of failure during the days of success. Some of them left their family, took on certain bad behaviors and stopped doing the very things they did in the past which brought them success.

If you know hours of prayer have brought you to where you are then you don’t need to stop praying. Keep on praying to maintain the advancement of your success. If you have climbed to the top of the ladder through hard work then keep it up or you stop it and you stop your progress. If you know a loving and tender heart is making your marriage happy, and then understand that if you let it go, you are letting go of your happy marriage. Neglecting the things that brought you to where you are is simply saying lets reverse the success story and get back to the days of struggle and lugubriousness. Stand on your grounds and don’t let the current level of success you are enjoying get into your head and make you lazy and foolish. Persevere and hold on to the things that got you to your present situation.

Remember your family is the most important relationship you have on earth. It is the only relationship that comes next to your relationship with God. The support of families has served as the spring board which has launched many people into greatness. Many people who keep on expanding their territory of greatness attest to the fact that the support of their families keeps propelling them forward. Therefore if you fail to be dedicated to your family during your days of success, then you are preparing the ground for the redraw of this family support. The absence of your families support will create a void in your life which can trigger a series of reactions which can contribute to your downfall. Your attitude towards your family should not suffer as your altitude gets higher. Honor the family members when situations call for it. Cherish them and let them feel part of your success, in that way, they will sacrifice to protect you from failing, because they know if you win they win and if you lose they all lose with you.
