Uganda: Christians Set for National Transformation

The Observer, Kampala – Deliverance church is back with its annual Impact conference, meant to empower Christians to become national transformers.

Pastor Peter Idembe says in a release from the church’s communications office: “The theme this year, ‘JOY IN THE CITY’ is taken from Acts 8:8 and is twofold.

It provides a voice of hope for better days ahead for this city and also is a call for individual Ugandans to play their part no matter how small in birthing this hope is to reality… Each of us when filled with the right spirit can knock down the strongholds that take joy out of Kampala.”

The conference that started on Monday continues through to Friday, November 8, starting at 5:30pm daily at the church on Makerere Hill road behind Tuskys supermarket and next to Hotel Bativa.

The conference main speakers are Bishop Dr John Brown Masinde, a contemporary, charismatic bible teacher and motivational speaker from Nairobi, and Pastor Laban Jjumba of Africa House of Prayer, Intercessors for Uganda and Deliverance church, Kansanga.
