The Very Revd Dr Emmanuel Isaac Kpakpo Addo has been appointed the seventh Dean of St Nicholas Theological Seminary, Cape Coast (Church of the Province of West Africa).
Currently Emmanuel is the Dean of the Cathedral Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Anglican Diocese of Accra, and will start his new role on August 1. He succeeds the Rt Revd Dr Victor Reginald Atta-Baffoe.
Kpakpo Addo studied Religions with History at the University of Ghana, (BA Hons), Theology at Trinity College, (Dip. Theol, Cert in Theo), Historical and Pastoral Theology at the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA, (MATS) and Inter-cultural Theology (PhD) at the Utrecht University, the Netherlands.
For 17 years the Very Revd Kpakpo Addo has lectured in Liturgics, Church History, Christian Worship, Practice of Preaching, Anglican Church Polity and African Traditional Religions at the Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon. He also taught at the Accra Diocesan Ministerial School.
At various times he has been Vice President and Acting Director of Administration at Trinity Theological Seminary. Emmanuel has served on the Programmes Advisory Committee of the Christian Council of Ghana. Presently, Dr. Addo is a member of the Governing Council of the Trinity Theological Seminary and a member of the Inter-Faith and Ecumenical Advisory Committee of the Christian Council of Ghana.
Dean Addo has 25 years’ experience as an ordained minister in the Anglican Church. Emmanuel is married to Regina and they have three children, Nii Adotey, Naa Adoley and Naa Adorkor.
