Zimbabwe: Highfield Gospel Group Releases Album No.2

The Herald – Waters of Life is a gospel group which probably needs no introduction to members of AFM Church in Harare’s suburb of Highfield.

Having released their first album back in 2003 the seven-member church outfit has just released its second compilation entitled “Zivai Zvokwadi Volume 2”.

The six-track album is already receiving airplay on local radio stations especially the song “Kurangarirwa” which was mixed by Danmore Chichiri and Chris Joe.

Learnmore Kasanhai, who leads the group, revealed how he was inspired by popular gospel group Mahendere Brothers to enter the gospel music scene.

“In August we performed alongside Pastor Charles Charamba at a church meeting in Glen Norah and then we went on

to join Mathias Mhere in Waterfalls at a show hosted by the KICC Church in September.

“This shows we have now come of age considering that we started singing over a decade ago and we now want to preach the gospel through music to more and more people,” he said.

Tracks on the album include “Ishe Jesu”, “Ndinokutendai”, “Mambo”, “Hama Yangu” and “Ropa raJesu”.

“We plan to do more tours countrywide and we are not just targeting members of AFM but all Christians who believe in the resurrection and Glory of our Lord.

“Above all, we thank the author of the work Jesus Christ. Let His name be lifted up high,” Kasanhai added.
