Washington DC – Donald Trump’s Inauguration Day started with the president-elect attending church services at St. John’s church near the White House
Donald Trump and his family fulfilled a presidential tradition by attending church at St. John’s Episcopal Church before the inauguration.
Donald Trump sporting a red tie, was spotted leaving Blair House shortly after 8:30 a.m., with wife Melania, wearing a powder blue dress by his side.
Leading church service was Texas-based pastor Robert Jeffress, a Southern Baptist, who campaigned for the president-elect and is a member of Trump’s evangelical advisory board.

In delivering the opening prayer, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams of Action Chapel International in Ghana, recognized the sovereignty of God stating: “You rule in the affairs of men and give the Kingdom to whomsoever you will…We pray that you will give President elect Trump, Vice President elect Pence, their families and his team the divine fortitude and wisdom above that of Solomon and command divine escapes from unexpected and unforeseen crisis and challenges.”
Other Minister included Pastor Jentezen Franklin; Pastor Mark Burns; Jerry Falwell, Jr; Rev. James Robison; Dr. James Dobson; Rev. Dr. Luis Leon; and others. The Archbishop has longed preached on the importance of praying for those in authority and had earlier led his congregation Action Chapel International in prayer for the US election.
