Cameroon: Christians Pray for Cameroon

By Laure Nganlay, Cameroon Tribune The National Fasting and Prayer Day of the Apostolic Church Cameroon held on October 19, 2013.

In line with accomplishing their evangelistic mission in the community in particular and the nation as a whole, Christians of The Apostolic Church Cameroon (TACC) massively converged in all the assemblies nationwide that make up the religious body.

The Saturday October 19 meeting marked the 2013 edition of the annual “National Fasting and Prayer Day,” observed on the theme: “Fear Not, the Storm is Passing By, It Will Be Over!” inspired from Matthew 14: 22-32.

Activities at the TACC national headquarters in Kumba were led by the National President, Apostle T.V. Ndih; while the various church assemblies did same at their respective levels. In Douala, the day was crowned with an over six-hour prayer session at the Bonapriso District Assembly situated at Nouvelle Route Ngangue.

After an exhortation by the District Supervisor, Reverend Anthony Obi, the Christians were led in prayers following guidelines outlined at the national level. The guidelines included, amongst others, praying for their families, the church and its leadership; and above all, for the nation.
