A member of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) at the Spintex Road, Madam Lina Kankam, has discredited news making rounds that their head pastor Prophet T.B. Joshua, has a direct hand in the stampede that claimed the lives of four Ghanaians and left scores of individuals wounded.
She advised Ghanaians to season their words when attacking Prophet T.B. Joshua in the wake of the tragedy that has hit the nation.
Four Christians are reported to have died on Sunday May 19, 2013, during a stampede which occurred at a service at T.B. Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) at the Spintex Road.
The stampede started when the huge congregation at the Church rushed for the anointing water from Prophet T.B. Joshua.
Speaking on Okay FM, the senior member of the church told the host of the Ade Akyen Abia show that Prophet T.B. Joshua wasn’t in the country when the tragedy occurred.
She added that though their head pastor had announced on Emmanuel TV that he had plans of distributing “Holy Water” in other countries, he never ordered the leaders in Ghana to inform their members they would be distributing the “Holy” content.
Madam Lina Kankam confessed that they were really shocked how majority people got wind of Prophet T.B Joshua’s message to them, and attended the church service in their numbers.
Upon seeing the numbers that had attended Sunday’s service, the leaders took it upon themselves not to distribute the water. But their motive, according to her, couldn’t stop the members outside the church auditorium from rushing into the main hall to get hold of the “water”.
She noted that though they made no announcement to distribute the content, some members who attended the service had made up their mind to get hold of it because they heard Prophet T.B. Joshua announce “he would be sending holy water to other countries on Emmanuel TV”.
Madam Lina Kankam ended by informing Ghanaians to embrace the teachings of Prophet T.B. Joshua, and tap deep into his knowledge before criticizing for no harm caused.
