The Star – A Catholic priest yesterday expressed concern over the increasing number of youth joining cults. Fr Lawrence Nyaanga singled out a sect dubbed Illuminati which he said youth join for financial gains.
He said poverty has driven youth to look for alternative ways of acquiring money. Nyaanga was speaking during a service at St. John’s Nyabiuto Catholic Church yesterday.
He asked parents to monitor their children’s activities. “There is need to sensitise them on long term implications,” Nyaanga said.
