By Charles Olowojoba, There are different keys to different doors. A key you don’t have is a door you cannot open and a door you can’t open is a privilege you can’t enjoy.
Your supply comes from God’s riches in heaven through Christ – Php 4:19. To have access to them, you must have and use His keys, not any other key. We are told in the Bible to use the exceeding great and precious promises of God to partake of His divine nature. 2 Peter 1:3-4.
What is a key?
It is the knowledge and understanding of a principle contained in the Word of God concerning a particular area of need. It is the practice of this principle that guarantees you access to your breakthrough in that area of need. Joshua 1:8, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Prosperity and success come from applying the principles contained in the Word of God. Your results come from whom you have chosen to honour.
From the account of the widow of Zarephat in 1Kings 17:7-16 (Read), we see 3 Keys To Supernatural Breakthrough.
‘I have not’ (verse 12). That’s the major problem in the body of Christ today. They have not! That is the commonest complaint I hear from believers everywhere today. I receive lots of requests for financial assistance from across the country. God’s people are broke!! When the God of breakthrough visits your house, He will change ‘I have not’ to ‘I have plenty’.
1. A prophetic word from God. A ‘rhema’ from God precedes every breakthrough. In her case, the prophetic word came through a prophet. But the best way to get a prophetic word is in your quality time with God. The prophetic word changes your circumstances. You have to learn how to get a word from the Lord. Most of the time, the prophetic word doesn’t make sense to us. It may not sound logical or may even make you look foolish. But God takes the foolish to confound the wise.
2. A prophetic word obeyed changed her outcome. Her story could have been that she ate her last meal and died but her outcome changed because of the prophetic word. It changed from ‘I have not’ to ‘I have plenty’. The God of the Breakthrough wants to visit your house, he wants to revive and refresh you and change your outcome. It all depends on what you do with the prophetic word.
3. Receive the prophetic word. She did not argue; she received the word. The prophetic word is that the God of the breakthrough is about to visit your house, your business etc. Receiving the prophetic word requires obedience on your part.
4. Sow a significant seed. Once the prophetic word is spoken and received, it requires the sowing of a significant seed. Her first reaction was, ‘I have not!’ People are not slowed down because of what they lack but because they do not know how to use what they have. The prophet showed her how to use what she had to create what she desired. Whatever is in your life is a seed for your future. Create the future you desire with whatever is in your hand.
Many are sowing but not many are sowing significant seeds. They are tipping God and giving Him tokens and then expect breakthrough. ‘Significant’ means special meaning to you; something of importance and value to you. In her case, it was her Last Card!
The widow’s mite was significant (Mark 12:41-44). David said, “I will not offer unto God anything that does not cost me something.” 1Ch 21:24
Every seed does not produce the same harvest. Different seeds produce different harvests. A heart-shaking seed produces a life-changing harvest. If you want something of value, sow a seed that is valuable to you. There can be no major financial breakthrough unless you sow a major or significant financial seed.
Effects of a significant seed or Last Card
1. Immediate intervention. Last card seed is capable of bringing immediate intervention.
2. Break down of barriers. It comes with an unstoppable force that breaks down every barrier to produce a breakthrough. It demolishes powerful enemies. It is a battle seed.
3. Complete productivity. It has complete productive capacity. It goes beyond the hundredfold return.
4. Multiple harvests. ‘Last Card’ seed doesn’t provoke a single harvest but a wave of harvests. “They ate many days… ” There is a wave of blessings waiting to rush into your life, but the barrier must first be broken. It has prolonged effect.
It takes faith
Notice that this kind of seed requires faith. And it takes faith to please God. The greater the risk you are prepared to take in pleasing God, the greater your reward. Comfortable faith will not produce this kind of result.
What is significant to you is between you and God. If you are desperate to have a breakthrough, you have to get beyond tips and tokens. You have to sow a significant seed: something of special meaning to you, something valuable to you; it costs you something. It is not something convenient. It is not a leftover but something that makes your heart shake. That is what demonstrates the seriousness of your faith. That is when God sees the seriousness of your faith and moves into your situation.
The God we serve is The God of Breathrough and is about to visit your house! Your outcome will change and you will move from ‘I have not’ to ‘I have plenty’.
