Apostle Akintayo Sam-Jolly on Sunday officially opened the Faith Cathedral Living Word of Faith Outreach Ministry International (LWFOMI) and dedicated it.

Speaking ahead of the ceremony at the church’s headquarter on Victoria Street on Thursday, the man of God told journalists that the Living Word of Faith was initially established in 1988 as the Living Word of Faith Bible Church by a group of young men and women who had a burning vision from God, for which he was founder. He became Pastor of the church in 1991.

He said by divine mandate and the vision being amplified in his heart in 1993, he launched the ministry as the Living Word of Faith Outreach Ministries International (LWFOMI) and became the General Overseer of the mission. He said today, the multifaceted ministry has grown to a place where it has 21 branches in the country and in other countries like Guinea, Gambia and the United Kingdom, adding that he had hosted encounters in all of the countries his church has branches.

Apostle Sam-Jolly noted that their mission is “reaching the unsaved with the gospel of Jesus with a view of planting churches nationally and internationally, aiding the development of the whole man in sprit, soul and body and producing a people that would fulfill their God-given purpose in life thereby serving our generation”.

He said in their humble beginning, they used to meet in classrooms as their international headquarter located at 5&7 Victoria Street was by then under construction. He said the building has now been completed and they are very much happy that the 21st Encounter Revivals and Conference will for the first time be hosted in their home.

Apostle Sam-Jolly maintained that his ministry is keeping to its educational programme as in 2004 they opened a nursery and preparatory school at Marjay Town, followed by the opening of the Central Church and Magburaka Assemblies in September and October 2008 respectively. The mission has also been helping the poor and needy by providing them with food and used clothing, he added.
