Nana Ago Prah and her three children

3news.com – John Kwame Atta Owusu, a husband and father of a Ghanaian woman and her three children, who perished in a fire outbreak in Finland, says he went completely dumb for 3 hours after hearing the devastating news.

His wife Nana Ago Prah and her three children all perished in the early hours of Friday, December 9, 2016, when their home was razed down by fire which is believed to have started from the sauna in their sixth floor apartment.

John Owusu, who is also a board member of the Ghana Union Finland, was at work at the time of the tragic incident.

In an exclusive interview with 3news.com, the devastated husband and father recalled the moment he received the dreadful news about his family’s demise.

“I was at work at dawn and my immediate boss I report to came with a smiling face and asked me to come with him for a conversation. “I didn’t know exactly what he wanted to talk about but I followed him all the same but to my surprise, we went to a different room.

“Upon reaching the room, I saw two police officers who asked me to sit and immediately started asking me questions related to my residential address which they asked me to confirm if it was correct.

“They then told me that my wife and children had all been burnt to death in a fire outbreak and after hearing that, I wasn’t able to speak for the next three hours.”

Kwame Atta Owusu told 3news.com that two different security agencies in Finland have been tasked to conduct investigations into the cause of the fire.
