Government of Ghana – The Spokesperson for the Ampiah-Kwofie World Outreach (AKWO), Evangelist Emmanuel Yeboah has said volunteerism among the citizenry was essential in the wake of the economic challenges the country was facing.
“We must learn as citizens to sacrifice our efforts for the development of the country without demands” he said.
Evangelist Yeboah said this during an interaction with the media in Ho at an outreach programme by the AKWO ministry on Monday.
He called on religious bodies to spearhead the campaign to rekindle the spirit of volunteerism among the citizenry, particularly the youth.
Touching on the outbreak of communicable diseases such as Cholera and Ebola on the African continent, Evangelist Yeboah said it was important to seek God’s face for favour and grace though educating the citizenry to practice personal and environmental cleanliness was important.
He reiterated the need to stand united as a people in addressing the challenging times the continent was going through.
The outreach programme, which is the fourth in the Volta regional capital, was climaxed by pastors and church leaders’ conference and a 3-day crusade. The crusade which was well attended, saw the sick being healed.
The AKWO is a non-denominational outreach ministry committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations of the world, most especially in Africa as well as prepare church leaders for the work of God.
