Kitui Catholic Bishop Antony Muheria
By Musembi Nzengu, (THE STAR) A Catholic faithful in Kitui ran into trouble with a priest who wants to sue him in court for alleged defamation and is seeking the help of the diocesan head.
Patrick Muasya has appealed to the Kitui Catholic Bishop Antony Muheria to intercede and save him from the intended court action by Father Dominic Kamwilwa of Kavisuni parish.
Muasya yesterday said it is unfair for the priest to take church matters to court. He said the matter can be settled out of court.
However, he said he stands by the statements and remarks he had made against the priest despite being considered “libellous and injurious.”
