Liberia: Trinity UMC to Observe Father’s Day Sunday – Journalist Roberts As “Brother of the Year”
(THE INFORMER) The Trinity United Methodist Church, Monrovia District Conference, Liberia Annual Conference (LAC), United Methodist Church (UMC) in the Borough of New Kru Town will on Sunday, June 16, 2013 hold its annual Father’s Day Program.
According to the President of the Church’s Men Unit, Alexander Blamo, a former Personnel of the Liberia National Coast Guard, Jlator Nebo will be crowned “Father of the Year 2013-2014”, while a Liberian Journalist, D. Ignatius Roberts, Sr., and an employee of the Ministry of Information, T. Nimely Nyenpen will receive their flowers as “Brothers of the Year” for their role in the church and community over the years.
President Blamo made the disclosure recently in the Borough of New Kru Town in an exclusive interview with this paper.
Brother Blamo said that besides, a former worker of the Ministry of Finance, Edward Dennis, Sr., will be honored by the Unit as a “Grand Father”.
He said this year’s Father’s Day message will be delivered by a retired Pastor of the Liberia Annual Conference, Rev. Dr. James W. Karmbo, who served the church as Senior Pastor for so many years.
