Malawi: Pastor Ashimolowo Coming to Malawi

Malawi News Agency, Lilongwe –  United Kingdom based Nigerian renowned pastor Matthew Ashimolowo is scheduled to minister in Malawi from 6 to 8 December this year at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.

Confirming the visit on Thursday, Kingsway International Christian Church (KICC) Malawi Administrator Harriet Mkandawire said the church is prepared to host the pastor.

“We have confirmed the venue, we are currently working on advertisement and publicity so that the nation is fully aware of pastor Ashimolowo’s visit,” she said.

Mkandawire said the conference will be free of charge and everyone is invited to hear the pastor tackling different topics ranging from leadership to prosperity.

Ashimolowo (born on 17 March 1952) is the senior pastor for Kingsway International Church (KICC) in London.

He was converted to Christianity from Islam at the age of 22 after the death of his father.

According to the church’s website, the pastor is also a prolific writer of more than 60 books, including the award winning ‘Tongues of Fire’ in which he constantly challenges believers to become the best they can be.

KICC began in 1992 when Ashimolowo and 300 members rented a hall at Holloway Boys School in North London.

The church’s congregation has grown from hundreds to thousands attending church services in different countries including South Africa, Namibia, Ghana and Malawi.

KICC’s Television program, Winning Ways is aired every weekday on Malawi Broadcasting Cooperation Television (MBCTV).
