By Salome Gangire, Malawi News Agency (Lilongwe) Mzuzu — Pentecost International Christian Centre (PICC), a Christian church, opened its Mzuzu Branch Sunday May 26, 2013 at a ceremony that was held at Mzuzu Youth Centre.
Speaking during the launch, Senior Pastor and Overseer of the church, Pastor Esau Banda said the launch of Mzuzu Branch is fulfillment of God’s great commission of reaching out to people of all the regions.
He said PICC’s mission is to bring hope to the hopeless, life to the dying and help them become true disciples of Jesus Christ.
He added that the church is also there to help believers grow and enhance their relationship with their creature.
“PICC is a flourishing and dynamic fellowship that seeks to continually grow in our relationship with the Lord and to take the gospel to the ends of earth,” said Pastor Banda.
The senior pastor further encouraged members of the church to serve in various arms of the church such as music, ushering, intercession and evangelism, among others.
He said he was grateful to God that within three years of its existence, the church has opened four branches across the country.
PICC opened its doors on 7 March, 2010 in Lilongwe and has branches in Blantyre, Zomba, Lilongwe and the newly opened Mzuzu.
