Mizpah Prayer Meeting at Inner Court Sanctuary

Mizpah Prayer Meeting at Inner Court Sanctuary

IMG_9326The Christian Journal, Bronx NY – Inner Court Sanctuary hosts a special early Morning Prayer meeting every three months starting at 4:30 am dubbed Special Mizpah hour. It is a great way to start the day with prayer, as we seek to pray for the needs of the congregation and the community.

Why early Morning Prayer? “We just follow what Jesus did,” said Rev. Nicholas Anane-Agyei host pastor of Inner Court Sanctuary. “In the Gospel of Mark, It helps to remind us of the real reason we are alive, and connects us with the living God. Jesus took early Morning Prayer very seriously, it’s recorded in the Gospels that he arose before daybreak and went to be on His own to pray.

Once we’ve established that precious contact in the early morning, we are more aware of the Lord’s working in our lives. We sense His protection and wise advice when the enemy attacks. Rev. Nicholas Anane-Agyei said
“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed” Mark 1:35 as quoted in the bible.

A prayer meeting like this is a great way to have closer relationship with God. It doesn’t matter your denomination you can be part of this great special time of prayer. Early Morning Prayer is a spiritual discipline that is rooted in the Christian faith. It was indeed a special hour of prayer.
