ST Margaret Mary Catholic Church roared with praise last July 6 2013, when Gifty Boanoh took the microphone alongside the church choir to praise and worship God.
Initially, the show was scheduled to be on Third Avenue and later changed to Margaret Mary on Tremont Avenue in the Bronx. This year’s Gospel Rock Show was organized by St Margaret Mary and Christ the King Catholic Church.
It turned out to be a night of not only worship, but preaching, as well. In his sermon, the preacher said “singing is second to prayer for a Christian. The angels sing to praise the Lord in heaven as the scripture says. By singing you come together with the angels to praise the Lord”. “Songs of Victory in Heaven” Rev. 19-22.
“Singing is one important activity in a Christian life. Talent is in different categories, so by discovering your talent of singing you encourage others in worshiping Christ. If you understand the importance of singing you will always hurry up to church to sing. You help the priest in making the sermon perfect. Let’s give singing the same importance as our work and let the message of Christ live in our hearts” he said.
The likes of Maame Serwaah an invited guest artist who is schedule to launch her album in August this year, and other singers from both choir sang.
It was a special night every step of the show and performances was manifestations of the word and strong biblical preaching, it was no doubt a spirit filled atmosphere.
There was no better way to give thanks to the Lord than the worship that was organized, Congratulations to both churches.
