Kenya: Churches Want Terror Curbed

By Charles Mghenyi and Agnes Mtengo (The Star) THE National Council of Churches of Kenya has raised concern over the increased incidents of terrorism attacks and extra-judicial killings in the country.

Addressing the press at Jumuia conference and beach resort in Kanamai, coast region NCCK chairman Bishop Lawrence Dena said the government should identify and arrest the perpetrators.

“These attacks are resulting in deaths of people, maiming of others and untold suffering to all,” he said.

He said the government should use its intelligence machinery and arrest people behind the attacks and stop interfering with the Christians right to worship.
