ByWanjohi Gakio, The Star – Anglican Church of Kenya diocese of Nyahururu has elected a new Bishop. Rev Stephen Mwaura Kabora was elected at the diocesan offices in Nyahururu on Saturday. Kabora trounced Vicar General Joseph Wainaina and former Provost David Kanyoni.
The exercise was presided over by the chancellor of the Electoral College, Joseph Kariuki Mwangi. In his acceptance speech, Kabora thanked God for the new position. He called upon the losers to join him in executing his duties and forget the past. He replaces Bishop Charles Gaikia Gaita.
