Sahara Reporters, New York City – Nigerians in New York City’s on Saturday October 5th celebrated the 22nd Nigeria Independence Day Parade held in New York City.
The parade started from 2nd Ave and ended at 56th Street, marked the 53rd anniversary of the African country’s independence from Great Britain.
The parade included dancing, floats, vendors, also showcased Nigerian cultural dances, food, music, fashion and performances.
To the amazement of the crowd was an impersonator of President Goodluck Jonathan.
The celebration was founded in 1991 by the Organization for the Advancement of Nigerians (O.A.N. Inc.).
